This 5-storey academic research building is equipped with one (1) buried direct-acting hydraulic elevator. Apex was involved from the initial survey through to completion, providing project management and electrical coordination services throughout construction. The modernization scope included the replacement of the elevator controller and upgrading the car interior and hall fixtures. The project was completed in 2021. Project challenges included logistics solutions during construction to allow for the delivery of heavy research materials that required elevator transportation to reach labs on various floors.
