Completed in 2020, this 4-storey residential building features one (1) basement traction elevator with fire service. The modernization scope included a full replacement of the controller, machine, roller guides, and door operator, upgrades to the cab interior, as well as an urgent fire alarm panel replacement. Apex was involved from the initial survey and design through to completion. We were responsible for project management, developing the modernization specifications, reviewing shop drawings, and coordinating electrical work and the building permit required for the fire alarm. We partnered with AES Engineering Ltd. as our electrical engineering subconsultant for the building permit electrical drawings.
