This 5-storey residential building features one (1) buried hydraulic cylinder elevator. The modernization scope included a full replacement of the controller, control valve, pump drive unit, door and hoistway equipment replacement, and upgrades to the cab interior. Apex was involved from the initial survey through to completion. We were responsible for project management, developing the modernization specifications, reviewing shop drawings, and field reviews. This project was completed in 2022 and included noise/vibration mitigation strategies for the new hydraulic equipment installations.
