Hall Tower II is one of BC Housing’s directly managed properties and is equipped with two (2) overhead traction elevators originally installed in the 1980s and previously modernized in 2003. In response to poor elevator reliability, Apex assessed the elevators in 2020 to provide recommendations to improve reliability. Due to the underlying issues causing the callbacks originating from controller & door issues, a modernization was recommended with new controllers and door operators. A modernization triggered some related fire alarm programming and related work, all of which was completed in 2022. Apex reviewed shop drawings, conducted field reviews/minutes, and otherwise provided project management services throughout construction.
