BGIS is a long-standing client with whom Apex has successfully completed projects across BC at various government facilities. In 2020 we completed the modernization of seven (7) hydraulic elevators at FRCC in Maple Ridge, BC. The project design at this site needed to meet specific security conditions and implement monitoring features and to meet these requirements Apex worked with specialty Subconsultants as part of our Project Team. The construction timeline of this project needed to meet certain schedule requirements and Apex worked with the client to directly award the work to the elevator contractor for the modernization of seven (7) elevators, including some cylinder replacements, increasing the class of loading for one (1) elevator from Class A Passenger Elevator to Class C3, and integrating security system, electrical, fire alarm, and emergency power scope of work upgrades.
