Through the use of sophisticated, industry-leading software and years of industry experience, Apex Elevator is able to review plans and run calculations and simulations to determine the appropriate number of elevators needed for the new development.
Apex Elevator uses ELEVATE™ software to simulate and analyze the anticipated traffic patterns in a new development. In order to make recommendations on the number of elevators needed and their arrangement, capacity, and speed.
We provide assistance helping put your future elevators on the building drawings including hoistway dimensions, pit depth and overhead, and machine room/control space requirements. Our team will help coordinate with other consultants to minimize any conflicts in the design, ensuring that elevator safety code compliance is provided.
Once the number of elevators is established and the elevators are shown on the drawings with the correct dimensions, APEX writes specifications for the elevators on a project specific basis. This is as important as the capacity analysis and the schematic design. The specifications establish the baseline parameters of the equipment and define any special features required by the client. We have a standard questionnaire that will allow us to work through the various details and options available. Details range from security requirements, cab interior finishes to whether or not regenerative drives should be provided. With this document, accurate pricing can be received from the elevator contractors that meets our clients requirements and can be used throughout the project to establish guidelines of responsibility.
Since 2013, Apex Elevator Consulting Inc. has been providing comprehensive elevator consulting services, including assessments, modernizations, new equipment, and additional services, to stratas, engineers, developers, and property managers throughout BC, Alberta, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and further, upon request.
